Every building has its own risk profile, but the duty to manage fire safety applies to all.
Whether you’re responsible for a residential block, commercial office, industrial premises, retail space, or a mixed-use development, a suitable and sufficient Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) is both a legal requirement and a business necessity.
At Ark Workplace Risk, we deliver competent, audit-ready Fire Risk Assessments that provide clarity, confidence, and actionable insight; not just a checklist.
Our FRAs are built on a forensic, evidence-led methodology, aligned with BS9792, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006, Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010, and the Building Safety Act 2022.
“A Fire Risk Assessment should help you sleep better at night, not keep you awake worrying about what’s been missed.”
Our Fire & General Risk Assessment Methodology
Our assessments are structured, transparent, and defensible; designed to meet the scrutiny of regulators, insurers, statutory authorities, agents, and residents/occupants.
Ark’s methodology ensures every assessment is:
- Evidence-led — forensic examination of hazards and controls.
- Action-oriented — recommendations that add value, not complexity.
- Competence-driven — delivered by accredited professionals under Ark’s internal Competence Framework.
- Digitally assured — integrated into QUOODA® for live tracking and reporting.
Our Approach
We gather existing information (plans, maintenance logs, previous FRAs, digital records in QUOODA®) to understand the building’s context and history.
Our assessors will:
- Inspect all agreed areas (including a sample of tenant spaces for Type 3/4 for residential).
- Identify risks, control measures, and any intolerable hazards.
- Brief the client’s representative before leaving site; highlighting immediate priorities.
- Document intolerable risks and escalate directly to the Responsible Person if required.
You receive a detailed, clear, and actionable report covering:
- Management action summary aligned with legislative requirements.
- Scope of inspection and evidence reviewed.
- Key issues, inadequate controls, and risk evaluations.
- Current controls and required remedial actions.
Reports are issued as PDFs and, where agreed, uploaded directly into QUOODA® for real-time monitoring, audit trails, and progress tracking.
