We interviewed Paul Hackett, Chair of G15 and CEO of Optivo, about the importance of having a national voice of tenants so that residents can feel empowered to have a relationship and dialogue with their landlords. A national voice of tenants enables landlords to take direct feedback and co-create solutions and improve services together. Ultimately this will lead to deeper insights into how we can provide better and safer homes.
Following the Grenfell tragedy, Paul and other industry spokespeople are calling for a review on how organisations within the property sector can improve the relationship between landlords and tenants. 'Together with tenants' is one such new initiative which makes boards accountable for giving residents a voice.
