Founder

Rosalind founded Ark Workplace Risk over 30 years ago and currently chairs the main board. Ark has evolved as a pioneer in health and safety management consultancy solutions and continues today anticipating solutions to market challenges within property and facilities management. Since 2011, Rosalind serves as Group CEO and Chair of Helix International Group Ltd, Ark's parent company.

Peter Clark | MSc, CMIOSH, MIIRSM

Managing Director/Ark Company Director

Peter brings over 20 years of knowledge and expertise in risk and compliance, having begun his health and safety career in the print industry before moving into construction, manufacturing, retail, and sports. Since then, he's become an experienced and well-respected leader, building and leading large teams of consultants, delivering comprehensive fire safety, health and safety, and environmental solutions to clients across diverse industries.

Since joining Ark Workplace Risk in 2019, Peter has focused on creating a benchmark of excellence, earning widespread recognition within the industry. Under his guidance, Ark continues to set new standards for client satisfaction and operational efficiency. As Managing Director, he inspires ambitious growth and a relentless focus on customer excellence and people development. A strong advocate for fostering a positive and inclusive work culture, Peter champions innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence, ensuring Ark remains the most trusted partner for clients who want to simplify their approach to risk, safety and compliance.

David Hills | FRICS, FIIRSM, MIFireE, MSFPE, RSP

Senior Director - Regulatory, Technical & Technology Solutions

David has been part of the Ark Workplace Risk team for 25 years, following a career within Local Authority building control where he looked after major construction sites. David is a globally-recognised compliance and risk expert. In the UK, he forms part of numerous government steering groups and industry boards and delivers training for key sector bodies, including The Property Institute (TPI), the British Property Federation (BPF), the Association for Rental Living (ARL) and the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM). Given his high-level connections, David is often first to know about changes in legislation and how this might impact Health, Safety and Risk compliance management.

Shaunna Thornton | BSc CMIOSH

Director - Risk, Compliance & Safety

Shaunna has over 12 years of Health & Safety experience across various sectors. Holding a BSc in Occupational Health and Safety allows her drive and maintain successful client partnerships, delivering a Gold Standard of services and solutions through managing the Customer Success Department within Ark. Working and Overseeing clients roadmaps, developing risk and compliance solutions ensures the growth of our clients.

Jayne Sale

Business Operations & Programme Director

Jayne has over two decades of experience within operational and general management roles across multi-disciplinary compliance and safety consultancies. Prior to joining Ark, Jayne was a key member of a management team in a start-up organisation, growing the business from 15 employees to over 70 employees, and then overseeing management of the exit via acquisition by a large compliance and safety Plc, where she supported the integration of the business and held a senior operations role.
In 2022, Jayne joined Ark to further support the building of our reputation for highly responsive service delivery and outsourcing and has been crucial is establishing Ark as a market-leader for delivery excellence.

Toby Bidwell | CMIOSH, FIIRSM

Toby is a distinguished leader with over 10 years’ experience in the health, safety, and fire sectors. Before joining Ark Workplace Risk, Toby achieved substantial business growth across an international safety organisation by implementing innovative consultant development programs. At Ark, he leads the professional services and quality assurance teams and his visionary approach and commitment to continuous professional development for his teams has contributed to Ark’s industry-wide reputation for excellence.
